Steve Jobs Once said, "Design in the soul of every great product, service." No doubt he would say the same about Tile Showcase of Watertown, Ma whose owners Fred and Joe Murallo have created something special that stands out from the crowd. Says, Fred, "In design there is "Good, " "Not Good," and the "Wow." Our job is to help customers find the wow." And at reasonable prices.
The store provides the perfect environment for Discovering and Expressing the Designer Inside You.. Your self confidence grows "I got this," as you creatively collaborate with Tile showcases hand picked designers to transform your home's front doorway into a grand entrance, the kitchen back splash into an Art Decco mosaic and the bathroom a 5 Star Retreat..
Most tile stores even the elite ones in Watertown, the Tile Mecca of the
Western world have friendly family owners, and a reasonable selection of tile. Yet the total effect of visiting them is as deadening as stumbling through a mausoleum filled with ornate marble tombstones. (See photo below)
I have to give it up for the owners Fred & Joe who had the imagination innovative spirit to design a store that was distinctly different, holding themselves and their staff and offerings to a high standard.
Everything about Tile Showcase screams, design, from from the architectural graphics you see on the building as you enter the parking lot, to the the simple, but elegant Maroon Ties Squares that catch your as you walk up the stairs.
The journey continues as you make your way past the front desk which looks like mission control. to the stylishly Coiffed and Dressed Designers engaged in a creative dialogue with customers to the beautiful Moroccan tiles encased in wooden frames.
I worked with with Mr Merullo, Christine the Designer, Kyle who offered a powerful assist and Claire in Customer Service, the hub of the whole place and the result was just right. Come and take a look and you will see for yourself . . .
We had a few very minor glitches which can happen with a complex purchase, and as soon as I shared them they were all over it. I could see that everyone who works at the store has a empathetic disposition and wants to make you happy. Plus they work as a team to help you.
The best part? Maybe the great big parking lot. Unlike other stores you don't have to search around for a parking meter, or search for quarters to feed one, in fear of getting a traffic ticket. Robert Hargrove, Homeowner, Cum Designer
