Started with me being told that if i put down the 2 months and security, they would take the property off market. Put down the 2 months and security, expected to move in July 15th but on June 29th i was told that someone else was able to move in on the 1st (3 days away) but that my application was better and they'd rather choose me, only if i could move in on the 1st. Went with it, signed my lease for the 1st. Also learned that day that there is a $350 pet fee, which was never mentioned previously until the day i went to their office to pay the deposits, despite me having a whole conversation about my pet during the showing of the house.
Moved in, but had no water for the first week inhouse due to TCS not paying their water bill. So,TCS came out and illegally turned it on. They weren't ready for us to move in. Theres still PVC pipes in the yard. They put up all blinds in house except 1, so i emailed and asked if someone can come finish putting up the blinds, but they told me "its not in the lease". Wow. Ive rented from slum lords and never even heard that. Told them almost 5 days ago about the leak coming from the tub and dripping into the kitchen. The maintenance man texted me days later saying "this is the plumber calling about the leak". Does the plumber have a name? Unprofessional. Told him i work mornings and can he come any afternoon? Nope, he prefers mornings. Told him im off thursday and Friday, he said okay, we'll "try" for thursday. Todays Friday and i havent heard anything.
If i could go back and tell them "no thank you give my money back!" when they switched up the move in date on me, i would. Or at least squashed this when i realized i had to wait to get water. I wish! Long year ahead. Would not rent again.
