I really wanted to love this church, we came from ...

I really wanted to love this church, we came from a mega church in California and this felt like it could be home.
But, there is hardly any community here! We felt like we meant nothing sitting in those chairs every Sunday. We knew no one and hardly anyone approached us. We had our son dedicated here and even then, it was an event with 10+ families and felt like a formality instead of a personal choice. The sermons are great, the pastor held my attention well, but I need a church family. Somewhere I go and run into friends. A church that has weekly events outside of Sunday.
