I guess you never know who you'll run in to there ...

I guess you never know who you'll run in to there because....We met Jack White today! I surprised my daughter w/ a hookie day from school and took her to Third Man Records because it was her 14th birthday. When we pulled up I jokingly said "what if Jack White is there"...she said "yeah right. no way!" and we proceeded to walk in the store. We were absolutely amazed at the store. Such a nice area down there now, and this store is the coolest! It is almost museum-like with neat things sprinkled through out and the staff was friendly too. The record factory was really neat to view also. Good vibes, man. Great prices, in my opinion. We were totally impressed, then...out of nowhere appears Jack White-walking through the store like nothing! He was SO nice! He waved, said "hi" and shook our hands. I told him it was my daughters birthday and he pulled her in for a hug and told her happy birthday...then in a flash he was gone. I think it's safe to say, this birthday is one for the books. What a cool guy-with great talent and a generous spirit. I'm thankful that he's helping to put some sparkle back in Detroit.
