I especially like the simple wood centric furniture and setting in comfortable lighting that is dim but not too dark. We had Oysters and beef carpaccio as starters. Oysters were plump, with a slight crunch, just the right brininess and sweetness balance for me. The smoked tomato soup was right, smoky from the moment it reached the table to the final drop, which leaves a lingering sense. Then comes the bedrock pepper steak, wagyu ribeye, 350 days grain fed. We had it medium rare, simply prepared with sauce by the side, which brought out the rich savoury punch. Eat it without the sauce first, I recommend. Dessert was bombe Alaska, pretty, and pretty rich. a little too creamy for me. I like the experience of just looking at the flames... overall experience 4.4 star over 5. Service was excellent, we got a Black Forest mouse on the house for a birthday celebration.
