I have been distressed over the years about the inadequacy of the sound system. I live in Providence Place and many of our residents, fans of the program, frequent attendees, find the amplification uneven. I do not happen to have a hearing problem, and yet, I share my comrades views and have found the sound system uneven. Such that I was uncertain about wanting to attend the recent Ambassador Burns program this fall.
Ambassador Burns, a professional speaker, did not use the podium. Which now I am thinking is a good thing. . Because his introducer, when turning his head, lost connection with the sound, a situation all too familiar at other events I have attended in that hall. Whatever Ambassador Burns brought to use, he NEVER lost connection with the amplification. Thus, the problem has a solution. Whatever he did works. I suggest you find out what that was and replicate it.
A shame to spend the money and local support for the excellent speakers you bring, when the sound system is uneven and annoying.
Please assure us that things have been "fixed."
