This is by far the worst "5 star" hotel I have ever stayed at. The staff are inept and liars. Wwhen we complained that the "air conditioner" in the room wasn't working we were told some crockpot story about Spanish Law forbidding low temperatures in rooms (it was 26 degrees, and I know this is a fact because three seperate mecanics came to visit over the course of 2 days claiming they would do their best to lower the temperature. I had a room change but quickly found out I was not the only one having the same issue as I kept on hearing people lining up at reception to complain about the same thing. One of the mecanics eventually admited that the adminstration had decided to decrease the power to the air conditioning unit to save money as they are even more expensive to run during the heat waves that was ourring at the time of my stay.

It's also important to note that there is a large construction site literally neighbouring the hotel , and at midnight when I went to complaint about the noise they were making which had woken me up, I was told that there was nothing they could about it because they had a 24 hour construction license.

The lighting in the bathroom is apparently awful to put make up on with (it didnt affect me, but we swapped a lot of complaint stories with other guests whilst waiting in line at reception to complain).

The shower door isn't hermetic and so water leaks out onto the shower matt, saturates it and continues to spill out into the rest of the bathroom, which is annoying if you wake up in the need to go to the loo as you end up with wet feet.

The food in the hotel bar is by far the worst we had throughout the weeklong trip to spain, and also some of the most expensive. The cocktails are also terrible and very overpriced. Breakfast however is ok.

We were a party of 5 rooms, and we all had terrible experiences in each of them, hairs in bed sheets, lipstick stained towels, nail clippings on bathroom floor, they charge to use the pool and force you to but a swimming cap etc. But really nothing surpased the crass arguments and stupid excuses by the front desk staff, particularly the head of the night shift back in September (which is when I stayed.)

At least they did not argue in giving me my money back so that I could go stay somewhere else, first time I've ever had to do that but was very willing to do it despite having another 2 days left of the conference I was attending in the same hotel.

If you're going to a conference communte from somewhere else and use an uber/cabify to get to it.
