It is the loudest place we have ever lived. Right off of 44th Street, you can hear traffic all night and when trucks hit the manhole on 44th Street, the apartment shakes. You can't leave your windows open in the summer overnight. Also in the summer the geese over-run the complex and if you walk on the sidewalks, you have to constantly maneuver around droppings. The winter plowing was horrible around the parking areas. We spent many mornings shoveling and helping to push our neighbors out, often being late for work. We wanted to extend our lease for 6 months (only because we didn't want to move in the winter again) and they told us our rent would increase $50/month, and the monthly dog fee would increase from $30/month to $60/month. ABSURD...since half the time they do not even keep up with the dog stations. We've looked into other apartments in Grand Rapids and the most we've come across for the dog fee was $45/month and that place had a dog park and held frequent community activities for dogs. The couple of maintenance requests we submitted took at least 3 visits (each) to get it right. I would not recommend this place to anyone!!!!!!
