I was a customer of WOW for 8+ years with no issue...

I was a customer of WOW for 8+ years with no issues. However, I recently moved to a different neighborhood that they do not service. The original representative told me "no problem, we will discontinue service on the day you close." The next day, I received a call from the representative's manager stating that there was a cancellation fee of $55 for breach of contract. I explained that I was not in a contract as I had signed up years before without a contract. He told me that I agreed verbally, so I asked him to provide the recorded call he was referring to which he was not able to provide. I explained that I wanted a call from upper management and he stated that he was upper management and could not do anything about the fine because it was company policy. I told him I would pay the bill if they could provide the contract. I never received the contract and was sent to collections for the $55. After referring them for many years, I no longer support this company for their lack of customer appreciation and incompetent policies.
