Amazing back to back weeks for my kids, boys a wee...

Amazing back to back weeks for my kids, boys a week ago, 5 day camp, and my daughter just got home yesterday, 6 day camp. They are all sad that it's over again for another year because all 3 said it was the best week of the summer. Both the boys and the girls filled cabins with their besties and that made it even more fun, but they said the best part for all of them was their counselors; Aunt Kayla for the girls cabin and Uncle Anders for the boys.

Each one of these amazing young people just went beyond anyone's hopes and expectations... they were fun and funny, comforting, thoughtful, compassionate, beautiful inside and out and just the best role models I could ever ask for on a week away at camp. They along with the entire Camp Geneva staff just make this the most creative and fun experience all on one of the most beautiful settings on Lake Michigan. My sister lives 2 doors south of Camp Geneva and she said repeatedly how much she loves hearing the songs and the chants and the screams of excitement that comes over the fence all day long. This is our families 12th summer to send one of our kids to Camp Geneva.

All of the protocol that was put into place to keep the kids distanced and safe was seamless and the kids barely noticed anything different from last year as they just had so much fun. Supplying them with their camp
geneva "buff" was genius and made it way more fun than just putting a mask on during transition times. Geneva did what it took to be able to open camp and give our kids something fun this summer considering almost everything else we planned for them has been cancelled or postponed.

As soon as you come up over the hill into the parking lot on the first morning of camp, you will see the amazing Geneva team working together to check the kids in, grab their gear and escort them off to their appropriate cabins. It's quite a site to see... everyone is organized and efficient and excited for another week, I mean it's magic up there.
