If you are visiting Massachusetts, you definitely have to spend a day at the Old Sturbridge Village. It's conveniently located near the Mass Pike / Rte 90 near I84.

My parents brought me and my brothers here in the 1980s. We brought our kids here in the 90s and almost 20 years later, we saw it again. It hasn't changed much. I've uploaded a bunch of pictures from our most recent trip.

There's lots to see and do. There are people/actors in various locations who will explain what they are doing and why. The gardens are lovely, it's a working farm.
