I would have given the hotel one star except break...

I would have given the hotel one star except breakfast was good.

When we got to the hotel I wanted to use the digital key. It didn't work and told me to go to the front desk. I went to the front desk and they said they had no idea how to fix it. So I use a regular key. Several light bulbs were burnt out in rooms. I wanted to call the front desk to tell them about the bulbs and that the coffee maker did work as well. The plastic covers on phones that indicate what the buttons do were ripped off in both rooms so wasn't clear what buttons to push. I dialed operator to get someone to come up fix these things the phone just rang and rang and rang. Eventually someone did answer the phone and then they just put me on hold. The pool was out of service and the Wi-Fi constantly cut out I probably had to reconnect to the Wi-Fi 15 times over two days that I used it.

The worst part however came when we got back to the hotel at night and pulled the sheets down and found a pair of sunglasses and funky Kleenex in between the sheets. Clearly the sheets had not been change after the last guest checked out. I tried to call the front desk the next morning to tell them about it but no one answered so I finally went down to make sure the sheets were changed. The staff was apologetic and by way of an apology promised to put extra points on my account but true to form they did not. The next day after the room had been cleaned by the staff I drop something and it rolled under the bed and when I went to retrieve it I found all sorts of junk under the bed. Clearly it had not been cleaned nor did anyone vacuum the bed and clean it. Also, we used up the shampoo the night before and it was not replaced.

When I went to check out using the app it also did not work so I checked out of the front desk and had to wait in line. Not even being a Gold member seems to ensure that you get decent service. Overall an extremely disappointing experience.
