I was given a tour of Sasaki earlier this week and this is what I have to say:

First of all, the building is beautiful. It s constructed from mills that overlook the Charles River (such a view), has something of a company garden and chicken coop (at the time of this writing) and they collect their rainwater, to really practice what they preach. The Incubator space, where you can rent a shared workspace like WeWork or the Cambridge Innovation Center, is like walking on hallowed ground the exposed wooden beams and the ample lighting and the peace of it all; it s like entering a cathedral.

Second of all, the people are quite friendly. Moving past many who were hard at work in Sasaki s open floor plan, some at standing desks, there were many friendly nods and glances. The entire atmosphere felt collegiate and approachable rather than reserved and distant.

Finally, Sasaki as a firm has a track record of producing well crafted works. It s kind of exciting to see what they ll present next. Watch this space; stay tuned. Follow them on social media. Read their blog. I m impressed.
