In a word, miserable. Each time I call for assistance I'm given a different answer. I've done everything I was told to do and it's been over a month and still my claim hasn't been processed (aka no money, Honey). I just learned today (after my 3rd call asking why I'd not heard from a claim reviewer) that I had a document I have to fill out from 2017 about starting a new job (I wasn't on unemployment at the time, so that's really weird). I had gotten no notice of said document, and in my file it kept referring to a date of 3/2018 for some determination of funds (but I didn't think that pertained to my current claim of 4/2019...silly me). The document was logged in my account 1/2017, so how would I possibly know to do anything with it or put the puzzle pieces together to solve this labyrinth of a system? Get it together, People. In my personal opinion, the Work One and Department of Workforce Dev staff are trained to cause confusion and delay so the state doesn't have to pay in hopes that we will all find jobs before all the hoops can be jumped through successfully. I am a professional with 20 years of great experience and 2 college degrees and access to laptop/internet. I can't even imagine what this process is like for those who aren't computer-savvy and used to working in software solutions. I'm actually embarrassed that we have such a horrid front line of defense for helping deserving people get funds to sustain them while they hunt for a job.
