Delicious food, fast/friendly service, lovely atmosphere.
My boyfriend and I went to Valley Inn on Friday night around 6:30pm. We opted to sit in the heated tent which is first come first serve. There were a few inconsistencies in the seating arrangements and covid protocol. When we arrived it was full, and the hostess told us it would be about a 10 min wait, which was fine. But then another group came and she told them the same thing... and then offered to take down their number so she could call them when their table was ready. Why didn't she do that for us? Then she sort of was like ... oh yeah and can I get your number too? Odd. We waited inside the lobby until she called us that our table was ready. Once we were seated, other parties arrived and their temperatures were taken, but ours was never taken. I would just say there needs to be a consistent protocol for guests regarding seating and covid.
Other than that confusion, everything was excellent.
We ordered a few cocktails and split some grilled oysters and entrees. We got a half dozen grilled oysters which were delicious. For entrees we got the lobster burrito and the chicken pot pie. The lobster burrito was something different and a little spicy! It was tasty but I am biased as I love lobstah! The chicken pot pie was surprisingly excellent - the crust was buttery and flaky with the filling savory and HOT! I would highly recommend it.
Our server was great and everything came out very quickly. There was also a live guitarist who was pretty good. Our whole meal took about an hour which was great!
Overall, we had a great time and we will definitely be back!!
