Julie Miller Review of Spa Zuiver

We were given a gift card from my sister who lives in Amsterdam, to enjoy the spa on our visit from Australia. Boy, were we disappointed... despite not even paying for it ourselves! The whole place was totally confusing with the staff at the front giving awful and limited guidance. Word to the wise - locker rooms are not what the rest of the world knows them to be... an entirely private area with lockers, toilets, showers and a place to sit and get ready. They are literally just lockers, and the only place to shower is in the spa with everyone else, which is terrible on the bathing suit days because you can t actually have a proper shower. The layout was so confusing that even though we were 20 minutes early for our massages, we ended up being 15 minutes late because of issues finding everything and working out how to use the lockers. That cut directly into our massages so we only got 35 and 45 minute massages instead of the 50 and 60 minute massages we paid for. What s more, we got zero sympathy from the front desk about the situation and even though we spent over 250, they refused any token goodwill gesture as we aren t Dutch and they knew we wouldn t be back. The entire spa s spaces are in Dutch so there s no way to know what you re doing when using the different saunas/pools. Super overpriced as well... what we hoped was going to be a special, relaxing, exclusive getaway was a stressful, overcrowded experience with bad service that left us feeling totally taken advantage of. Don t waste your money here!!!
