The Acropolis doesn't disappoint. We walked up the back streets to find it. It takes a while, so on a hot day our advice is to carry some water and wear comfortable shoes. When you finally arrive, take a while to soak it all in and remember that parts were built over 2,500 years ago. There's also a popular rocky outcrop (Areopagus Hill) to be found reasonably close to the Acropolis entrance. It affords fantastic views of both the City and Acropolis by night. Well worth waiting for nightfall.
