Overall, a nice resort. My wife and I recently spent our honeymoon here. There are plenty of activities to partake in during your stay. Our only complaint was that the food quality can be rather spotty. The buffet at La Riviera was mostly poor during our stay (probably because the food is prepared in larger quantities). On the other hand, our meals at their more formal sit-down restaurants were excellent.

Things to be wary of: smoking is allowed on all beaches in the Dominican Republic. Additionally, the beaches in the Dominican Republic are also public, so there are usually a fair amount of vendors that walk the beaches in attempts to lure tourists in for business. I will say that the resort security team, along with the Dominican Police/Beach Patrol, generally did a good job at keeping most vendors away.
