I am a 2 year UMA alumni. I really enjoyed my time at UMA. A lot of people say that their program felt like it fizzled out, I did not experience this. I took the cPhT program and it was aa complete success for me. I enjoyed my teachers. Toward the end, I did feel like they were a bit more hands off, but they were doing this on purpose because you will not have someone to hold your hand when you are in the work place.
Most people dropped out around mid term. The ending class was very small. But that is at no fault of the instructor, they always held every one accountable for their attendance and their grades.

Personally, I think that my program was a little over priced, because you can get your PhT license through a major retail employer, but I was able to get my National Cert, which makes me a Lead Tech instead of a normal tech, which pays more money. I also received more training than a tech that just gets licensed by a retail pharmacy, including compounding training, as well as clinicals and pharmacology.
Also, no retail pharmacy will ever offer me lifetime alumni services and they will never help me find better opportunities like UMA will. They will never offer me help job hunting. And they will never offer me support, and resume building services and advice.

I also want to note that my sister also attended UMA for Dent Tech. She loved the program, and is now working in a Dental office making pretty decent money, too.

In conclusion, I do not regret attending UMA. I enjoyed my time there, and I continue to utilize the services to this day, and I graduated in 2013.
