We visit Bather's every few weeks, and find oursel...

We visit Bather's every few weeks, and find ourselves generally impressed with the offering. The cafe is an institution and can get quite busy, especially when the weather is good. The servings verge on the smaller side but are usually cooked with care, the service can be quite slow and at times indifferent, this in particular seems to have become a regular feature in recent visits. On our most recent visit we found ourselves left underwhelmed, as in addition to the slow service the food didn't meet the standard you expect from Bather's - I will give them some leeway as it was father's day, however, the cafe is usually busy so they should be able to cope. The 'Balmoral Breakfast' consisted of a slightly undercooked hash brown, a single slightly undercooked rasher of bacon and a single small spoonful of scrambled eggs... at $24 this either needs to be of exceptional quality and/or a larger serving. Instead I left disappointed and slightly hungry. However, I would stress that normally the food is excellent and we hope that this is an aberration.
