If you only visit one place in Athens, then you must visit the Acropolis. For me it was on my bucket list after the Pyramids of Giza and Colleseum of Rome. Amazing sight to behold. It's a bit of a steep climb in places to get there although I believe there is wheelchair access as well. From the top the view of the city below is amazing.
