So I have had 3 years to really reflect about my experience with Courtesy Chevrolet and what I ve learned about car buying, predatory loans, and just how good the salespersons here are at exaggerating and embellishing what kind of deal you are really getting.

First off, READ THE FINE PRINT and don t let them rush you into buying a car. I was naive and they totally took advantage of me by making my 2014 Chevy Cruze a value of $26k when looking up on Edmunds and other sites, it was about $10-12k less in value. They applied my $1,000 cash down payment and said my truck was worth $4,000 trade in to bring my grand total price to over $21k. Basically gave them my clunker and $1,000 cash for absolutely nothing. I later learned cars just like the one I purchased were only selling at about $14k.

In hindsight, I will never purchase anything General Motors, or sign up with ALLY auto which seems to be a staple for dealers selling GM products. ALLY auto has pre-payment clauses that charge you a daily early payment fee for every single day that you try to pay-off your loan early. I feel so taken advantage by the dealership and auto financing company and I can whole heartedly promise I will never purchase a vehicle from this dealership again and I will never recommend anyone purchasing from here either. Not that anyone who works there actually cares and I m sure I will get a beautiful automated technical response from whomever happens to have a pulse.
