Semper Opera is the concert hall of the Dresden State Company Orchestra.
Its designation is due to the name of the architect Gottfried Semper
that built it in the year 1841.
His style features a combination of Renaissance influences,
baroque and even Corinthian that can be seen in its columns.
The building suffered several very profound damages over its years.
years of existence.
After a violent fire, bombings in World War II, it was being rebuilt and the current version dating from 1981,
constitutes a good example of the Baroque architecture of the city of
Dresden.
The Semper Opera House, is a hall of reference among Opera theaters
in Europe, in particular, its excellent acoustics.
Its location in the historic center of Desdren, next to the river Elbe
it gives you a framework of great beauty.
