Pretty good quality hitsumabushi. The dashi broth was pretty good and had a really good smokey flavor. Although the regular-sized hitsumabushi is on the smaller side and we were left a bit unsatisfied.

Place is pretty ok. They have the mini-pond where you can see the live eels, and you can also see the kitchen, as it was in front of the big portion of the dining area. We were given the seats in front of the kitchen, which is nice on some parts as you'll see how they prepare the food. Unfortunately, we sat right in front of the kitchen where they cut the fresh eels open. It was not the most pleasant experience especially when you're eating something. Good thing there was a glass in between the kitchen and the counter where we're sitting. So we ended up just looking down to our food or looking elsewhere to avoid the horrific sight.
