A nice hotel. Service was friendly but poor at the front desk and dining area. Pool was really small, although appears much differently on their site. Nice courtyard area with seating and a few yard games, but hardly enough to call this hotel a resort, or justify the room rates, considering the prices and amenities of the very local competition. There was a laundry room with ancient residential washers and dryers but no coin machine, so first you have to ask the front desk where the machines are (no signage and no room literature), then you have to go back to ask for quarters once you know the price and realize there is no change machine. There is also a small microwave in this room which is totally inconvenient to anyone needing it, and sort of gross for those of us trying to wash clean clothes when its mixed with smelly leftovers. Hilton can and should do much better. We had the breakfast buffet the next morning and it was ok-not amazing for a Sunday morning but definitely charged a Sunday morning price. Although the decor and setting of the dining area was large and beautiful, we didnt appreciate the large TVs playing football at 10am June (I know it's TX, but how is that even possible?). Parking was poorly laid out and if there was valet, I didnt know, becasuebi would have used it. The resort fee was totally unjustified because the only thing special was the fresh water and cups in the lobby, free coffee in the morning, and the dinky pool. The front desk staff were sorely underaged and under trained, although like all Texans, very welcoming and polite, just not experienced in hospitality. It was a fine hotel, but not worth the price and I will definitely book somewhere else on my next visit to the area.
