The Golden Nugget is my favorite place to be downtown. I stayed here and I even booked an extra day because I enjoyed my stay so much. The pool is very cool and you have to ride the slide through the shark tank, no matter your age. The room was clean and very modern. The casino opens up to Fremont Street. I like staying downtown because it isn't nearly as crowded as the Strip. It is much less expensive during the week, which is why I stay there Monday-Thursday. Parking is free to hotel guests.
