Overall, the YMCA is a great place, between the courts, studios, pool, and workout equipment it has it all. One of my friends is also a team lead there and is always super friendly when he sees me and willing to help out or give advice if needed. Only reason this is not a 5/5 is I had a run in with one of the women at the service desk who would not help with retrieving a referral code for my friend, my mom was working during at time, and the household account is set up through her, and was on the phone and she refused to talk to her. Shortly after I asked the woman on the other side of the desk to help and she pulled up the code without a problem. After getting the code, the first woman who wouldn t help us had the other associate do pretty much the whole job, and after I inquired about the total price for my friend signing up she said You don t need to be here anymore, you can go now, in a rude fashion. For an orgranization that encourages you to bring your friends to become members, I was very disgusted by the lack of respect I felt by the employee and how difficult it was for my friend to sign up. After being a member for several years in my childhood and later returning as a member for around 8 months, the experience will not be forgotten.
