The home hospice nurses (my dad was on the burgundy team) were negligent and uncaring. When my family urgently tried to express to the nurses our concern for sudden swelling we were seeing happen to my dad, they repeatedly dismissed us. We asked to see a dr. or nurse practitioner and that never happened. We were again dismissed. He was rushed to the hospital when he collapsed one morning and it turned out that he was sceptic from a very bad infection due to a dirty catheter foley the nurses never bothered to change. My dad could not fight such a bad infection on top of the cancer. The doctors said the infection was so bad, it would be hard on a healthy person. It's devastating. My dad was so young and full of life, but LifePath made it impossible for him to have a fighting chance. They wanted to keep him sedated and out of it. Everything we asked about, the answer was...yes that's normal, we just want to keep him comfortable. It's a tragedy.
