My husband and I purchased a home here in Tallahassee this year. The home has had a termite bond since 2014 with Capeluto - 2 previous owners maintained the contract. We just renewed one month ago at $467 a year, Centricon system, bait stations. Massey came to quote our lawn service and mentioned the termite stations. We talked and was advised they charge less for new stations to be placed initially then what I pay a year and that the renewal years are only 225$ a year not $467.
I contacted Capeluto two weeks ago to make inquiry as to their higher prices. The lady was very nice but said that Liz would call me back. Never heard from Liz snd yesterday got a call from Tech saying he was coming to remove my system. We talked about the situation and that I was totally unaware that they had canceled the contract as no one called me back. He said my cost was higher that their yearly rate even with the new system and that he would discuss this with the manager to see if we could work something out.
The tech called today and said that he was coming to remove the system and throw them away because the original contracted customers in 2014 got a discounted rate of $200 dollars down to put in the system they agreed to pay $467 year to make up the difference. So I am stuck under their pricing and contract if I want to continue service. Well I think they made up the $200 difference 10 years ago lol ridiculous! Rather than to keep a client and offer me their normal pricing yearly rate pull out the system and cancel them is what the MANAGER said. I will make sure to call corporate and let everyone I work with know who have them and recommended them to check their contracts as well.
