It took us 4,5 hours to walk by the dismantled railway from Robinhoods Bay to Ravenscar and back by Cleveland Way and down by the beach to the bay. The dismantled railway is certainly better for cycling than walking, there is a fantastic picnic table with the views over the sea, see my fotos. The seal colony is not always there at Ravenscar, and be aware that seals can be very dangerous. The beach was the best part of our walk, we found a sleeping dragon and a crowd of walking (standing) stones. The black layered cliff reminded of a pagoda house and has a net of streams which somewhat mesmerizes and offers to find paths between the streams.
