Very disappointing, would not use again. We selected a property in Sydney that looked great for a family stay, comms with Luxico were fast and good to start with. We paid 50% deposit ($3,500) by interbank transfer, the only other option being credit card which Luxico add a cost to. We are from UK so bank transfers always take a couple of days. We confirmed everything with Luxico, but then after the bank transfer had gone through they contacted us to say that they had been approached about a longer booking so they were taking that. So our booking was cancelled. Then after several reminders they refunded our deposit but it was about $200 less than we had sent! Their excuse was currency fluctuations - in theory they are right about that - but we had sent a large amount of money to book a property and confirmed it all by email and booking forms, but they chose to make more money by taking another person's later booking. Their only concession was to offer a discount on their next booking but we weren't exactly convinced to use them again given our experience.... Obviously it's Luxico's call to make money where they can, but the customer is the one who who loses out! They were fine, friendly and efficient until the booking process but then clearly not interested in taking any responsibilty or providing decent customer service once we'd asked for a refund. We will not be using them again and certainly wouldn't reccomend anyone else to use them.
