I used to live next door to this building and it was always a joy watching the seasonal shifts of the 4 next door. When Channel Four started way back in 1984, it was massive and progressive: the network identity of the moving blocks to form the numeric 4 was one of the most iconoclastic pieces of broadcasting in the modern age.
It took the example of all the old regional network identities in providing a tiny motion pic or intro animation.
