I have dealt with NHEC for almost twenty years and in all those years the names have changed but the story remains the same. I particularly enjoyed the outage over thanksgiving a few years ago. Whether it's actual or imagined, they never seem prepared for when a massive outage hits (more often than not) and then they make it sound like they are doing us all a favor by restoring the utilities they are tasked to supply. I bet if someone passed legislation forcing all of the utility companies to reimburse their customers for delivery time lost there would be far fewer long term outages. Let's pass a law, they already collect fees in excess of 50 percent of my bill, maybe they should have to give some back when they can't do their job, and they only have one job....
