Lots of exhibits for kids and adults many of which are very hands on. Parking is a little problematic when it's busy (and I've only ever been here when it's busy). There are also rotating, national exhibits which can be a lot of fun to check out, but they tend to come with a dramatic increase in ticket price. All in all, this is a great way to spend an afternoon when you find yourself visiting Portland, especially in the company of children.
