Waiter said the ribs were the specialty so I ordered a full slab to share. And since I have traveled and lived through the southern states as well as Texas I have eaten lots of ribs of all kinds from many different parts of the country and I believe I can tell what are and aren't good ribs. The ribs at this restaurant were downright nasty. They had a 'crust' on them that almost was like a deep fried batter. And the meat had a 'bacon' taste to it. Something I have read you try to avoid when cooking ribs. After the meal I told the waiter I was very disappointed and he suggested I try a burger next time. If the ribs are what they do best and it is as bad as it was why would I want to pay money for something else from here? Additionally I do not drink alcohol so I ordered two iced teas (unsweetened) and they were weak and luke warm. If I could score lower I would.
