Its free to cross for individuals and bicycles. Nominal fees are charged based on weight for vehicles. Four ferries ply the channel during peak hours and there is always one ferry working at the lowest demand time once every hour( midnight to 4am)

Congestion and crowd control os an issue. I keep thinking there might be a stampede here one day if the crowd control and crowd bottlenecks are not dealt with.

It can be daunting at peak demand times. Watch for pickpockets. Switch off engines. Dont take pictures. No smoking.

Its a short hop once you get on, 10min max but the wait times vary between 10min to one hour
