An amazing place to go. Entry is Free, and there is a Disney style monorail that takes you from base to the Getty on top of the hill. The place is built like some futuristic labyrinth. The collection is varied and suitable for mostly everyone IMHO. It's diverse enough to warrant a mixture of tastes.

The outside gardens are truly spectacular, we wondered through these and just took it all in. Clearly a lot of time and effort and planning went into the overall construction, not just of the estate, but the garden also.

There are cafes and bars on site so you can rest up, both indoor and outdoor seating.

By the end of it, we decided to walk back to base from the Getty, and not take the monorail. This too was a lovely walk, but much easier going down hill than up hill.

Although the museum itself is free, make sure you have some money for the car park (under $10) and some money for the cafes.
