The "Underwater" World Islands project or a Universum size failure

Islets imitating the world began to be built less than 15 years ago, about 4 km from the Dubai coast, and so far it seems that, literally speaking, they will drown this project :-)

As far as I know, local sand was used for construction (this sand is not suitable for this purpose) and probably a few other mistakes were made because these islands are currently ... drowning. On a yearly basis, something about 2 - 5 mm, it's not much but they are constantly sinking ... The islands are practically not at all developed at this moment. Well, maybe it's good. Every now and then the subject returns (I read it in the Arab newspapers at the airport). No developer confirms these facts officially, but since 2009, work on the islands has been stopped except for Greenland, which is owned by Sheikh of Dubai. In addition, the archipelago is jinxed and subsequent investors fall into "disfavor" of fate (suicides, bankruptcies, accusations, arrests, etc.).

In addition to Palm Jumeirah and World Islands, the construction of further islands began: Palm Jebel Ali - similar to Palm Jumeirah, but larger than it by half, Palm Deira even larger, located north of Jumeirah, and Palm Waterfront project, which should resemble moon and star Islam located south of Palm Jebel Ali. However, at the moment all work was stopped completely.

If you want advice - despite the ongoing crisis in the real estate market and falling prices - maybe not buy yet ...
