Our 9 year old mixed breed went into Adisonian Crisis and respiratory arrest in November 2010. Our local vet (Animal Care Center in Landing and Flanders, NJ) revived her and recommended AERA "STAT!" Dr. Larry Kantrowitz met us with respect, calm, compassion, sensitivity, and professionalism. He went over the plan to confirm the diagnosis, then the treatment options for recovery, the risks of residual damage, the short-term (a few nights there) and long term care. Dr. K has always made himself available. Our dog is now 13 years old and appears completely normal, with the help of bi-annual bloodwork, daily 1/4 pill Prednisone, and monthly injection of Percortin. Except for the occassional receptionist who forgets the importance and the power of a smile, the staff and Dr. K have been absolutely outstanding. I am very sorry for some of the other reviews- there is no excuse for rudeness or unprofessionalism, even when us panicked pet owners let our own emotions get in our way. We saw none of this. AERA and Dr. K are the greatest in our book!
