I came in with my family on 1/28 to look for a new car as an early graduation present as I had an idea of the type of car that I wanted. After being greeted by the friendly woman at the front desk, we were soon approached by Philip. Philip walked us over to his desk and got to know a little bit about us. While this was a graduation present from my parents, I was also going to be paying half of it, so he was sure to include me in all of the details and made sure to understand what I wanted. I told him that I was interested in a Terrain and while I wouldn't mind looking at 2017s, I also wanted to look at the 2016s in stock since there was a sale on them. We ended up going outside with originally 3 cars in mind. I can be really picky about what I like, and unfortunately there was always something about those 2016s I didn't like (the interior/exterior color, wood trimming, etc.). However, Philip didn't stop trying to find me something I would like. We ended up looking at a different model of car (the Acadia) and even took a drive to the back of the lot to look at other Acadias and Terrains that were 2017s. After realizing I liked the Acadia, but it was out of my price range and maybe a little too big of a vehicle, my mother ended up mentioning that we should go relook at the 2017 Terrain that was in the showroom that we had walked by when we first got there. I'm so glad we did, because this was the car! It had everything I wanted and the Night Fall package was a definite plus!
I appreciate that Philip took the time to listen to everything that I wanted in a vehicle and also that he understood the appropriate times to walk away for a bit and give my family the opportunity to discuss our options and what we wanted to do. He was also quick to answer any questions and if he wasn't sure, he partnered with the Manager, John, to clarify. I definitely appreciated that he didn't give us answers he wasn't sure of which made me feel more comfortable in my car buying experience. Although we were not prepared to make the purchase that night (as I wanted to get an appraisal on my previous car elsewhere before having it appraised at the dealership), we told Philip that we would be back tomorrow to purchase the vehicle, but we may or may not have a trade in. We asked what time he would be coming into work the next morning and we told him that we would be back at 11am.
The next day, 1/29, Philip had ended up coming into work early to make sure everything was ready for us when my family and I arrived. He even let us know that he had my new car detailed the night before. We then start to discuss and sign paperwork. Although the car buying process is long, it was definitely an enjoyable experience doing it with my family and an incredibly hospitable and caring staff. I look forward to doing my service here over the years, as the staff made a lasting impression on me.
