Wyndham, Virginia Beach -- The front desk folks were very nice at the time of check-in. The hotel is old and in need of remodeling. We knew that going into it based on other reviews, which is why we elected to use points v/s cash for the room. Had I paid for the room, I would have requested a refund and found another hotel for the night.

In the words of Paul Harvey For the rest of the story. What we were not prepared for was the uncleanness of the hotel and the rooms. What we found very unusual was that the flat sheet was on the outside of the comforter. There was no flat sheet under the comforter for sleeping. At bedtime, we changed the sheet out only to find that while Wyndham states they dry clean the comforters every time someone check outs, is a complete and utter lie. The comforter was stained but more importantly, it was still dirty with from the previous occupant s food. It was DISGUSTING! Head into the bathroom and there is dirt accumulated under the sink, the shower curtain was stained, the ventilation fan did not work, the lights above the mirror were out, the electrical sockets were so work that the curling iron would not stay in. In addition, the wall mirror and TV were so smeared that it was difficult to see either the TV or yourself. There was a large gap at the sliding glass door so be prepared for bugs. Finally, we had our grandson with us, so we called down for an extra towel and wash cloth, which we never did receive. The one positive, breakfast was very good compared to what we expected. Would never stay there again!
