OSVS KILLED MY PET.

OSVS KILLED MY PET.
I was going to refrain writing a poor review if they cooperated with me.
I took my guinea pig in to see them for a swollen eye.
The technician I saw never even greeted me and seemed very pretentious. I was seen by another lady who told me he had conjunctivitis. I asked if she was sure, as swollen eyes are a symptom of URI which is FATAL to piggies. She insisted. Gave me eye drops, anti inflammatories and probiotics. She said she didn't want to give oral antibiotics because it will mess with the gut flora, I get that. But he was given probiotics so I don't see why he couldn't have been given something that would treat a URI as well,JUST IN CASE.
My piggie finished his antibiotics, then 3 days later died in my lap on the way to a different vet. The swelling in his eye went down, but his URI was never treated and he died.

When I suggested he may have a URI originally both "specialists" brushed me off like I was stupid for my concerns.

They never took a culture to make sure the diagnosis was correct.
The eye drops he was prescribed doesn't not treat URIs.

He died a week and a half later.
I called them to speak with administration and it's been almost a week and I NEVER GOT A CALL.
I spent almost $250 for them to kill my baby.

They don't care about your pets. All they want is money.
Unless it is an absolute emergency DO NOT COME HERE. And even then, follow up with your primary vet the next day.

OSVS KILLED MY PET.

If this is not resolved I am contacting the licensing board and filing a formal complaint.

EDIT: I received a call back. I was told that I would be reimbursed if there was a misdiagnosis. After some discussion, the administrator said that Otie had died because it was a stomach issue, that even though he was eating, his body wasn't absorbing any nutrients and said it was common?
But I never received reimbursement. Originally they said it was a bacterial infection in the eye, but then said he passed from a lack of gut flora.

I still stand by my review, do not take your pets here unless you have no other option, and then take your pet to their primary care.
