Great selection of whiskey and very nice environment.
Moonshine is located in a historical texas building, ambience is awesome perfectly in resonance with the name. Our barman (young fellow, I wish I remembered his name) was really knowledgeable and helpful. He gave us great advice according to each one's taste and he wasn't just trying to push the most expensive drinks on the menu.
Wait was about 45', right as promised. We were courteously seated and ordered food. The waiter was kind and professional.
I had a glass of merlot (didn't record the name, 8- 9 $); that wine needs to be removed from the list. It was either an old bottle or just plain "puntalone" -name for bad wine in my hometown-. It smelled and tasted like cold Gluehwein. My bad for picking wine in a moonshine place. LOL.
Then the food arrived, I was hungry so the wait seemed long, but understandable since the restaurant was packed.
My chicken fried steak was pretty bad, meat tasted like fish and the batter was stony more then crunchy. It tasted like frozen restaurant depot food. The rosemary fries -catchy name BTW- were hard and dry, didn't taste like rosemary or nothing. I would have sent the food back to the bin, where it belonged, had I not been invited there by my sr. managers.
Bar and location deserve 5 stars, average with 0 star food and you get a 2.5 stars.
I definitely won't take my gf there since no one at the table was really impressed with food. Maybe I should stick with liquid grain calories only if my boss invites us the team there again.
