My mother is in Skilled Nursing here. When Dad was alive and they'd been married 2 years (17 years ago) DD sold the home he'd made with his first wife and they moved to an apartment here. Then 3 years ago he had a stroke and moved to Skilled Nursing. So Mother moved into Assisted Living. Just after the pandemic got here he died at 100 years 7 months. Since then Mother fell and went to Skilled Nursing where she has a very homey room filled with her things. The staff thru all of this has been superb. The care they give is better than she'd gave if living with any of us. She is adored here. It ain't cheap, but it is the best I've ever seen.
During the pandemic, staff kept us up to date and when I called a month or so after Dad died to tell staff she needed emotional support and human touch they took time daily to give her that. I love everything about Sherwood Oaks.
