I recently had a chance to interact with the Customs and Excise Department while dealing with some import and export matters. Their website, customs.gov.hk, was quite informative and easy to navigate. The website provided clear guidelines and step-by-step instructions on various procedures, which I found helpful in ensuring I followed the correct processes.

However, I must say that the overall experience with the department was average. The customer service staff were professional, but communication could have been more prompt and efficient. It took several attempts and some wait time to get the necessary information.

Moreover, the processing time for my documents took longer than expected. I understand that there may be certain procedures and regulations to follow, but it would have been better if the department could have provided a more accurate timeframe for completion.

Overall, my experience with the Customs and Excise Department was satisfactory. They provided the required guidance, but improvements in communication and faster processing times would greatly enhance the overall customer experience.
