I spent 20 minutes walking from the nearest BART stations, in the midst of tramps and stoned people among the ups and downs of San Francisco. If you arrive in the evening or at night I highly recommend to be accompanied by a taxi or uber. Old hotel, modern but slow elevator, narrow and steep stairs (impossible to do even with a hand luggage). small room, with a useless closet almost bigger bathroom. Noise and creaks characteristic of wood, but annoying during sleep. You can hear footsteps in the rooms above. In essence, it would need a general restructuring and modernization. Friendly staff and fast wifi.
