I came in with excruciating chest pain earlier today and while overcome with pain, I still managed to compose myself to answer all questions but the lack of compassion from both the nurses and doctor himself astounded me. In fact, the nurse completely disregarded me and continued on with the examination speaking with her fellow nurse as if I wasn t even there. On top of that, the doctor asked me if I thought I was having a heart attack and I replied honestly that I had no idea what it was to which he said well it s not as if I had been reinforcing that point. The doctor s attitude was quite rude and arrogant, continuous speaking at me but not to me, acting if my one or two clarification questions were the stupidest thoughts to come out of my mouth. Quite honestly I was quite upset with the treatment and the way I was being dismissed before inquiring about my symptoms. I asked him about the hospital s policy when I was leaving out of curiosity and his remarking attitude was so degrading that I was simply at lost, I abruptly turned on my heel and left. The only bright side being the lovely asian lady working in the pharmacy section, who even though I only interacted with for all of five minutes managed to turn my mood right around with her genuine attitude. I m only sharing my experience with you because I was baffled by the care I received for going to the nearest hospital to me and can attest to the fact that I was gladly travel twice as far to not go through what I had to today again. I hope you take this into consideration and look into your client care policies as there wasn t a single ounce of humanity or compassion in the care I received until five minutes before I left, and even my last memory of the doctor was absolutely shattering.
