Niederegger Family Review of Waterloo Biofilter Systems

Edit Aug 2020- we had more issues with the system smelling over the fall and winter. When I spoke with Julia at Waterloo, she told me we were on the list for a Spring inspection. Although at times the sewage smell was overwhelming, I was ok with waiting, as we are in the middle of a pandemic.
In June, the technician came, told us that silicone needed to be put around the roof of the shed. He told my husband that we could do it ourselves.
After a day or so, we decided that it wasn't a good idea to do this work ourselves. Neither of us wanted to make a mistake which may lead to further issues. I called Waterloo and again spoke with Julia, I told her the issue and she let me know that someone would be here to deal with the issue.
The technician arrived here about a week ago after I called and spoke with two different people more than 5 times and left a message. (about 6 weeks after the initial service call)
He put silicone around the roof of the shed and shortened the time the pump runs.
This brings us to Friday August 14th at 4:30 I received an emailed invoice
and notice that me credit card had been charged for almost $300. This was for a service call and silicone. I was never once told by phone that this would happen. The work should have been done at the annual maintenance inspection.
We called and emailed on Friday and have heard nothing all day. I am sorely disappointed with the Waterloo system and the customer service. I regret having this system installed.
We had a waterloo system installed last summer. The installation process was longer than anticipated (a third party contractor does the install). Once I had to deal directly with the company though it was smooth sailing. We had a bit of an issue in the early Spring with some smell coming from the shed occasionally. When we had our service call they installed more filters and no more smell. Really happy with the company and the product.
