The guys at Buteco didn't have a scone I was wanting to go with my coffee so they told me to go across the lot to Baker Dude since they'd probably have what I wanted, so I did. The guys working there were typical compared with the other business in the Beacon, friendly, attentive, appreciated the customer.

The pastries and sandwiches behind the glass looked too perfect, I was thinking there's no way it could taste as good as it looked. They didn't have the iced scone I was looking for but that didn't matter since I saw some tarts that looked like they'd do the trick. It did, it was d@#n good. The crust was the same on the bottom as it was on the sides, light and flaky. The filling...awesome. I'm considering going back before they close to get another one.
