I spent 2 weeks and a few days in Hamot. Over a week in ICU and then on the Neurology unit for another week or so. Overall I had a great experience because they kept me alive. I had a brain hemorrhage, stroke and was in bad shape. I don't remember the first week but after that was a good experience. I am pretty much fully recovered in 4 months. I just had a second brain surgery about a month ago and I am healing very well. Dr. Romero is an amazing Neurologist and Kim Beyer is top notch also. The doctor that was working on Memorial day weekend is my true savior. His name was Dr. Javhov and he saved my life. I don't remember him and haven't seen him but I appreciate him tremendously. So overall I approve UPMC Hamot to provide care for me and also thank God for watching over me too. Melanie Padilioni
